The steps to becoming a Womens Gymnastics judge:

  1. Become a member of USA Gymnastics (USAG).
  2. Get your Safety/Risk Management Certificaiton. View the course schedule.
  3. Purchase the necessary books. All technical materials may be ordered from the USA Gymnastics on-line store or by calling 1-800-345-4719.
  4. Acquire a rating by taking and passing a judge's exam. Look for Judging Accreditation at the USA Gymnastics Womens Progam site.
  5. Become a member of the National Association of Womens Gymnastics Judges (NAWGJ).
  6. Purchase a uniform. Official NAWGJ uniforms are required and ordering information can be found can be found here.
